Ana Serna is a certified Physician Assistant licensed by the Texas Medical Board and nationally certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
A scientist at heart, Ana is drawn to evidence-based care and the pursuit of understanding the “why” behind medical challenges. While research ignited her passion, she chose healthcare to create meaningful change, help people directly, and serve her community.
Ana is deeply committed to El Paso, returning after her education to address health disparities and improve care for underserved populations. She believes in the importance of holistic wellness, treating the whole person and not just their symptoms. Ana’s long-term ambition is to become a naturopath, adopting a total- person approach to care that emphasizes balance, prevention, and wellness.
Specializing in Allergy and Immunology, Ana’s personal experiences with allergies and asthma inspire her to
help patients improve their quality of life through compassionate care. Her dedication extends beyond local
borders: Ana has traveled to rural Guatemala, providing healthcare to indigenous populations through partnerships with UTSW and Refuge International.
A proud El Paso native and Socorro Bulldog, Ana enjoys spending her free time with her husband, daughter, and three dogs. Fluent in English and Spanish, she remains committed to her community, blending empathy, expertise, and a vision for a healthier future.
